The series opens as a disheartened Daniel and Judith head to the police station to pick up Grace, who has been arrested for possession of marujuana. The day afterward doesn't make life for the minister any better, as he finds that both his brother-and-law and the church funds for the St. Barnabus school have both gone missing. Peter is accepted at the Gerstner School of Cancer Research.
