Detective Lt. Andy Flynn, played by Anthony John Denison
Lt. Flynn was one of the last people anyone would ever believe joined the PHD (and Brenda's command) of his own choosing. Flynn, once a longtime confidante of Comdr. Taylor, used to make Brenda's life miserable every chance he could. When Taylor attempted to hang Flyn out to dry on the apparent botching of a murder case that got him his stripes, however, it was Brenda who cleared him on any wrongdoing. After that, he began singing a different tune---even to the point of being one of the first to rescue Brenda from Taylor's machinations.
An experienced detective, he seems to be partnered with Lt. Provenza at the moment, and each's penchant for bending the rules to get the job done have proven quite hilarious at times. |
