	Detective Irene Daniels [Season 3– , recurring previously], played by Gina Ravera The only female subordinate picked by Captain Taylor for the new Priority Homicide Unit, Detective Daniels came straight from the Los Angeles Police Department. Daniels and Sgt. Gabriel are currently dating, much to Brenda's dismay. In season 3 we see the relationship between Daniels and Johnson evolve in to more of a friendship with Daniels finally giving some well needed tips to Brenda on lipstick color and sweater choices.
