Living Proof (2) - Recap

The scene picks up from last episode in Sara Miller Marcu’s place and Buzz video tapes the scene and Provenza shows pictures of the murdered individuals and then pauses when he shows a picture of Skander and tells that Buzz can move on. The Coroner tells that 2-5 hours ago, Sara died. Her computer has been taken too. Johnson tells Provenza to talk to Skander again. Johnson asks Gabriel to get a hold of the Doctor. He tells her that he is not going to like it and she asks why. They visit Dr. Morales and he tells that he was supposed to be in Palm Springs, but instead has to be requested by Johnson. He tells her that Sara has the same marks on her body that Amielia has and that she too has been tortured. Johnson feels bad that Dr. Morales isn’t going to be able to see his boyfriend and he tells that it will be fine.

Flynn starts to scratch out the Holiday plans of everyone and Sanchez tells that the Albanians and the Serbians have had conflicts for many years. Lt. Toau tells that the Albanian Blood Feud has rules and one of them is not to kill someone in their own homes. This is something that the killer did against the rules. Provenza comes out and Johnson asks how Skander is doing. He tells that he is doing as well as anyone would after finding out that his family has been murdered. He tells that he needs a minute. Commander Taylor comes in and asks if they need help with and Provenza gives him the Santa Suit. Raydor tells that she had Buzz get the sound clip and asks if she can talk to Skander again. She wants Skander to drop the accusations on Chief Pope so that she can make a flight to see her family. They listen to the tape and it is in Albanian. Lt. Taou comes in and tells that they got Sara’s emails. However, they are in Albanian too. Taou shows that there is a picture of Joan Marcu in it though. Johnson gets a call from Fritz and he tells that they have a situation at the house.

Johnson arrives at the house and finds that her parent’s RV has been broken into. The presents were taken and even their microwave. They get inside and she asks what went missing and her dad tells that she is only trying to get them to tell what she got for Christmas. Fritz tells that they are not going to be getting the presents back and should be grateful for what they have and Johnson’s dad takes the moment to tell the true meaning of Christmas. Johnson’s phone rings and she tells that she has to go, but tells that she will be back. When Johnson arrives at the station, Gabriel and Sanchez tell that Joan Marcu had surgery at the same hospital that Sara worked at and that is when she sent the email to her sister. She meets with Joan and Armand and tell that Sara was found murdered. Armand is devastated and tells that he was talking about the blood feud with Skander and Johnson asks if Joan can listen to the video of the attack of Shariq and Armand. She translates it and they show her the interview of Skander and Provenza. She hears Skander tell the same story that Armand told except with Armand dying. They tell that the man she married is not Armand Marcu.

Johnson follows her and shows the bullet found in Shariq’s back. Gabriel tells that the DNA didn’t match and that she is married to a war criminal. She goes into the bathroom and talks to her. Johnson tells that Sara Marcu saw Joan’s name and did research. She tries to say that Armand is a good man, but Johnson tells that three people are dead because of it. Joan tells that Armand came home in new clothes after the fight with his father and he told her that he got blood on him and in the car. Johnson asks for her keys and she tells that all the information is privileged. Johnson tells that it is alright because if she can see blood through the windows, then she can get inside. Johnson tells that she needs Joan to do one more thing. The next scene shows Joan wearing a wire and camera. She walks in and tells that she is scared. He hugs her and he blows the alibi. They can’t search the car because of marriage privilege. Johnson has another idea on how to arrest Armand for murder. Meanwhile, Johnson’s parents arrive at the station and start setting up for dinner. Captain Raydor is sad because she is not going to fly out because Salt Lake City is snowed in. Johnson’s mother tells that she can have dinner with them.

Fritz and Johnson are in the office and he tells that there are no criminals in the war index. They invite Armand in and ask what his real name is. They tell that they know that Skander is his son. He tells that he was a young Serbian boy in love with a young Albanian girl. He fled the country because all of his country hated him. Johnson doesn’t buy it either and Fritz tells that he has a roster of war criminals and ask what his real name is to match the index. He tells that his name is Zoran Antonowicz. This means that he is not legally married and this gives them the right to search the car. They find blood in the car. Fritz comes back and tells that he is under arrest for murder of Amelia and Sara Marcu. Gabriel escorts Zoran and he tries to escape from Joan. Gabriel makes him talk to Joan and she tells that she is going to take Skander and the rest of the children away.

Later that evening, the station has their Christmas dinner and enjoy. Johnson’s parents go up to Fritz and Johnson and tell that they are going back to Atlanta to live. They tell that they are not cut out for the Hollywood life. Johnson tells Fritz that she understood that he had to steal the presents but why the microwave. He tells that he had to make it believable. They all sit down to eat the feast and all say Merry Christmas to Buzz’s camera.
