<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens Commander Taylor printing out pictures from a suicide victim case. Detective Ortega from the Phoenix Police Department comes in and thanks them for looking into the case for her. They go to Chief Pope and Taylor says that Sedona Gibson was the victim and Ortega says that she doesn’t agree with the Coroner’s ruling. He reads that they said that she died of a heroin overdose. Ortega says that can’t be true because Sedona was her daughter. Johnson looks over the case file and Ortega says that her daughter was a diabetic and that she knew not to do drugs. Ortega says that Drew, Sedona’s husband, is not a good man. Johnson asks when the last time she saw her daughter was and Ortega says that it has been 2 years. She says that she called a few months back, but her husband hung up the phone and she couldn’t talk to her. Johnson asks if her profession as an Escort could have had anything to do with it.

Johnson steps out and asks Pope why he had her tell Ortega that her daughter was a prostitute. Johnson sees that Captain Raydor is there and she asks why she is there. He says that she is trying to talk to Sanchez, but he isn’t talking. Johnson is upset that she has to please everyone around there. Gabriel shows the evidence that were with Sedona when she died. Ortega comes up and asks what they have found. Johnson says that Sanchez is going to the morgue and Ortega volunteers to go with. They arrive at the morgue and Dr. Morales allows her to say her goodbyes to her daughter. Ortega sees that there is only on puncture in her arm and nowhere else. Dr. Morales confirms that Sedona either wasn’t a user, this was her first time doing it. Sanchez gets a call telling him that they have the warrant to search the apartment. They arrive and Ortega is a little timid to go inside. Sanchez and Buzz record that there is a flight bag ticket from Vegas and $100 chips. He finds a note written in a different language. Buzz tells that Sedona has her GED. In the bathroom, they find syringes and none of them match the serial number found in Sedona’s arm.

Back at the station, they try to put the case together and Gabriel says that hotel for the night was paid for “Dynamics Goods”, which is a front for an escort service for “Four Aces Models”. Sanchez tries to tell that Ortega shouldn’t be there, but she says that she can take it. Gabriel says that the business is owned by Linda Prawl. Flynn gives Johnson the note that they got from the hotel and it is written in Russian. She says that it says something along the lines of “thank you”. It was written by Dmitry Andropov. Johnson meets with Linda and she is not talking. However, Fritz says that the FBI is ready to run Linda in for supplying prostitution outside of the state. Linda’s lawyer says that “Four Aces Models” has a no-sex policy. After they threaten to blow the case up, Linda tells that it was her husband, Drew’s, idea. She tells that Sedona never used, but Drew did. She tells that Sedona did some adult movies to up her value. However, Sedona wanted to clean up her life more and get in contact with her family. Johnson asks where Drew is and she says that he is crashing with a guy named Blazer. Ortega recognizes the name and says that she arrested him in Phoenix a while ago.

Johnson and the rest of the team arrive at the home that they have on file and a man answers the door. However, when Johnson introduces herself, it turns into a gun fight in which Johnson is almost killed. They find the man who is named Drew, but he is dying. They ask if he knew Sedona and he calls her a name and spits blood in Johnson’s face. Johnson and the team scramble to find a needle that will solve their case, but they are kicked out before they can get anything besides the heroin that killed Sedona. Captain Raydor tells Johnson that she will get the syringe that Johnson wants, but she has to tell Sanchez to talk to her. She agrees. Johnson gets back to the station and Fritz hugs her. She tells that she is alright and Fritz says that the last client that Sedona had was Spencer Pittman. Johnson thanks him and sees Raydor there. She tells that she has the needle and Ambian. She says that she wants to talk to Sanchez now and Johnson says that he is busy. She says that she will wait. She goes up to Lt. Tau and he says that the needles match with the serial numbers that were found in Sedona’s arm. However, they can’t prove that Drew did it or not. Flynn says that Sedona’s father is Randolph Pitman. Johnson goes up to Ortega and she admits that Sedona was adopted. Johnson realizes that Spencer Pittman was the son of Randolph.

Johnson goes to her office to find Raydor still waiting for Sanchez. Later, Raydor gets her interview and Sanchez says that he doesn’t remember a lot. Sanchez says that he remembers that Terrell Baylor killed a man and boy for a beer and that he is foggy on the rest. Gabriel says that they looked at Spencer’s finance and there was a cash withdrawal of $50,000. Tau says that the heroin that was found tallied to $50,000. Spencer has motive to want to kill Sedona. Gabriel says that Pittman has a prescription for Ambian. Johnson and Sanchez talk in the hall and he says that he talked to Captain Raydor of what happened. She asks about the gaps and he says that there are none because they would have been sued by something else that Terrell would have done. Provenza comes up and says that the envelope had Drew’s fingerprints all over it. Johnson asks if Provenza wants to go home since he was involved in the shooting and he says that he doesn’t.

Johnson and Sanchez talk to Spencer and Johnson says that it must have been embarrassing when he found out that Sedona was his half-sister. He says that she needed help and that he gave her the money. Sanchez says that is not what Drew has been telling them. The other Detectives are surprised that they are lying to Spencer and Sanchez says that whoever talks first gets the deal. Spencer continues to talk and tells that the money for her and her husband, who was a junkie. Sanchez asks how he knew that and he says that he might want to talk to lawyer and the Johnson says that one will get prison and the other will get the death penalty. Spencer tells more about what happened and he eventually confesses that he paid Drew to kill her. They show him that Drew is already dead and arrest him for murder. Ortega thanks Johnson for following it through. Johnson gets in her office to find Raydor there. She tells that she needs to know what Gabriel said. She tells that he asks if they should hang back and she told him no. Raydor is intrigued because she wants to know how Terrell’s family knows what she said and says that Johnson has a leak in her team. The episode ends.
