<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens with Captain Raydor arriving at a crime scene. Lt. Provenza comes up and says that he was the first on the scene after a 911 call. She asks who else arrived and Lt. Flynn is there as well. As Raydor questions as to what happened, the rest of the Major Crimes Division pop up from the car that is crashed into a pole, including Brenda Johnson. She says that she came with Sgt. Gabriel. Raydor says that since they have a Federal case against them, they need to make sure that everything is perfect. The victim who was shot two times is John Reed, a Principal at Polk High School. Johnson tells Raydor that Reed’s wife informed them of the crime. Gabriel tells Johnson that Mrs. Reed called the police after Reed called and told him that he was on his way home the usual way. Johnson tells him to make sure that the 911 call came after she spoke to Reed. They go back to the car and Flynn tells Raydor that it was a 9mm Semi-Automatic that was used. Raydor asks how they know that and Flynn says that there are 7 bullet holes which mean that the gun had a clip. Raydor asks if they are certain that it was a single shooter.

Provenza says that they don’t know how far Reed traveled before passing out. Lt. Taou comes in and says that there was another shooting that happened involving the same car. The team goes down the street and finds the casings. They find out that the FBI is involved. Johnson goes to the station and Fritz tells her that a TSA agent was shot at and that is why they are involved. Johnson argues with him about the case and Raydor tells her Mrs. Reed needs to be talking to a Grief Counselor. Johnson says that they all are Grief Counselors. Raydor says that she feels like a hall monitor every day. She says that there is something else she wants to say, but she is interupted by Gabriel talking to Mrs. Reed. Gabriel talks to Mrs. Reed and she says that she wanted to tell Reed that she didn’t want him working there. Mrs. Reed says that Reed would record his meeting and Johnson tries to get into the phone, but it is locked. Johnson turns around to see what Raydor wanted, but she is gone.

Raydor goes into Chief Pope’s office and Commander Taylor is there too. She says that she can’t take it anymore and says that she is going to be retiring from the force. Pope tries to bribe her to stay by offering her Commander instead of Captain. However, she says that it is no use. He says that he just needs two weeks to get everything straightened out. She agrees. Johnson and the team listen to the 911 call that Mrs. Reed made and everything looks clean and Fritz says that it could be a case of mistaken identity.

Lt. Taou comes in with Sanchez and he says that they were locked out of the phone, but they have Reed’s laptop and every conversation is synched. They play the messages and the first message is Reed meeting with the parents about the Football Team Curriculum and that they are going to have to maintain a C average. The parents are outraged and demand what Coach Rich Carr has to say about it. He stands up and says that they can do it just like they have made it; they can have their children do this too. They hear the parents cheer about that. They hear another recording where Carr is argumentative with Reed. Carr tells him that he doesn’t want to be transferred, but Reed doesn’t care and tells him that Carr will be leaving. Carr gets upset and they hear him throw something and take the trophies that he won for the school. Reed tells him that he is very close of telling people about what goes on at Carr’s house.

They bring Coach Carr in the station and he says that he was upset, but would never have killed Reed. Meanwhile, the Major Crimes team and Raydor are at Carr’s house and she tells them that they are looking for trophies. They get in and look around. They see that there are more bedrooms despite Coach Carr living alone. In the back room, they find three teenage boys in the house working out. Raydor tells Provenza that the boys are going to need a physical exam and Provenza says that they are going to continue to look for what they came for. Raydor reminds him that it is trophies. Later, Taylor tells Johnson that each of the boys have their own bed at Coach Carr’s place.

Taylor says that Carr is providing the care that the boys yearn and he says that there is more. Johnson says that she is going to take Carr to a dark place, but need a gun. Johnson goes up to Carr and tells him that they found three boys and suggests that he molested them. Carr says that their parents don’t care for the boys and says that she can be put in front of a jury because she would love to tell them about it.

Back at Carr’s house, the team search for the trophies and Raydor says that they are going to need medal detectors. They go out in the yard and uncover the “trophies” that they were looking for. It is the 9mm Semi-Automatic that killed Reed. Later, Johnson shows Carr the gun and he says that he had the motive, means and opportunity. She reads him his rights and says that they both know what is going on. He says that he wants a lawyer. Fritz gets home and tells her about Raydor’s retirement and Johnson realizes that there is an actually leak in the department. Fritz says that the gun that they found matches to both cases and he says that the case belongs to her and asks if she has came up with Terrance Miller. Johnson goes into the station and Flynn tells her that Miller is in interview room and says that it is not likely that Miller and Reed could have met. Johnson goes up to Raydor and she tells her that the children need to be released to their parents. Johnson says that the parents haven’t come forward. She tells her that they are in the break room. Pope tells Johnson that he is talking Raydor out of retirement.

Johnson goes up to Miller and he denies knowing where the gun is from. He admits to hiding the gun at a woman’s place and says that she was a stripper. Johnson gets angry and says that if he doesn’t want to be charged for murder, he better remember the woman lived. He says that she only wanted him as a babysitter. Johnson has him go with her and they have him go into the break room. He says that he is there to pick one of the kids up. One kid, Louis, stands up and Johnson walks up. He runs around and is caught. Johnson says that Coach Carr is going to go away for murder and Louis admits to killing Reed. He says that he did it for the team. Johnson goes up to Carr and tells him that she is sorry. He says that the boys that they are going to be turned over to Child Services and then killed or in prison. He says that he was only helping them and that Johnson is going to ruin it. Raydor comes up and tells Carr did an illegal act. Johnson says that Carr seemed to do important work and refers to her mention of retirement. She calls it admirable what she is doing. Raydor goes to Carr’s and Goldman comes out. He says that he knows that she is retiring. She says that it was just a ploy to make sure that there is a leak in the department. Goldman says that she will never get a warrant to find out who the “birdie” is. He tells her good luck and leaves. The episode ends.
