Morgan Pym, played by Chris Kramer
A rebel and a genius, Morgan Pym is older than he looks. Born in Nuremberg, 1326 AD and raised in a monastery, Morgan Pym studied science and medicine and devoted his life to the service of God until his love for a dying woman prompted him to rage at God and make a deal with the devil: 10 years of bliss with Katrina in exchange for his immortal soul.
At the end of a blissful decade of love and good fortune comes the day of reckoning, when Katrina becomes ill again and this time dies of the plague. Morgan, too, becomes infected, but when the Devil comes for his soul, Morgan fights back, impressing the Devil to strike another deal: In lieu or eternal damnation, Morgan will become one of his Collectors.
For six centuries Morgan plays the part - finding people and notifying them that they have 48 hours until their deal expires, and their soul is sucked down to Hell. When Morgan meets a young girl named Maya - who reminds him strongly of Katrina - he is inspired to renegotiate his deal. Now he can help his "clients" seek redemption, and hope that one day he, too, will be redeemed.

The Devil, played by [unknown person]
The only one of his kind, the Devil, is destined to feed on torment and promote misery. However, in moments of weakness, he has shown disdain for pain he endures. Educated, philosophical, witty and evil, his powers are unlimited; he can appear as anyone, anywhere and anytime and presumably, all at once. He is also omniscient, to Morgan's annoyance, as the Devil taunts him during his mission.
He has a Collector in every city, yet enjoys Morgan since Morgan is the only one to ever ask permission to save those he was sent to collect from; thus, making Morgan a wild card in his universe. As Morgan proves to be successful in achieving redemption for his clients, an ongoing rivalry erupts between the two. This also causes Morgan to intervene in the Devil's dealings around town when he stumbles upon the Devil drumming up new business.
The Devil takes a different form every week, and Morgan can only recognize him when the Devil allows it. The only person who can recognize the Devil in any form is Gabe.
