The Deep

The Deep is a drama series which sees an expedition setting out to discover the truth about what happened to some of their colleagues after the unexplained disappearance of a submarine expedition under the Arctic icecap. An uninvited government agent joins the team on their quest to discover the truth.

With Volos in close range of the Orpheus, the team works hard to find out a way to get out of range. Meanwhile, a surprise is for Raymond when he tries to fire the weapon at the Orpheus. At the same moment, Hatsuto and Lowe get a unexpected visitor from America.

1x5: The Last Breath recap: The scene opens with Lowe and Hatsuto seeing that there is a helicopter coming to them. Lowe asks if it was one blade or two because two is the Americans. He scrambles as the helicopter lands and a team of Americans come out and meet with the leader of the team there. He asks about Lowe and Hatsuto. Meanwhile, Lowe tells Hatsuto that they are going to question him and Hatsuto says that “they” can’t have that. He shoots Lowe in the head and in the chest. Meanwhile on the Orpheus, Catherine is crying over what Clem had to do and Frances goes to her and consoles her. She says that they have to go home and she says that she has to secure the Larva Bug sample. She says that it is alright. Samson and Arkady see that the Volos is on route to intersect the Orpheus. Samson says that he needs to freeze the sample so that when the Volos gives them a blast and will be able to save a fragment. Arkady tells Frances that Raymond overheard Catherine and Frances talk about the Larva Bugs and that Zupov knows about it... read more.

1x4: Everything Put Together Falls Apart recap: The scene opens with Raymond broadcasting a message to the base and Lowe hears it. He gets Hatsuto out of the other room and tells him to turn it off. He manages to and Lowe tells Hatsuto that he needs to do as he is told and he will stay alive. Meanwhile at 2,000 feet below the ice, Clem is happy that Catherine is there. She kisses him and tells him to sleep. She gets up. Samson says that Vincent is alive, but barely. Captain Zupov of the Vos Ship tells them that they are going to have to bury their dead, but Frances says that they need to get out of there. Catherine comes in and says that that Zupov is right. They get the bodies together as Zupov watches. Frances tries to talk to Catherine and says that she saw Scarlett before she left and tells her that she is well. 1x3: Ghosts of the Deep recap: The scene opens with Clem looking at the pieces of C.A.S.P.E.R. and says that he knew that Catherine was there. Frances says that this is what they were looking for. Arkady comes in and tells that the submarine is only scrapping metal. He says that they found it a few months back. Clem suspects that Arkady knows something and tackles him. Arkady and Starzy point their guns on the Orpheus crew and tell them to back away. Arkady says that Clem is not safe and Raymond intervenes and tells that he will look at the wreckage and decide if it was found or if someone took it apart. Raymond gives his assessment and claims that Catherine did the damage herself and broke the glass with an arm and let the water in. However, Clem doesn’t believe it and leaves. 1x2: Into The Belly Of The Beast recap: The scene opens with Scarlett coming back from the beach and her grandmother says that she has something for her. It is a video of Clem and he is singing happy birthday to his daughter. Scarlett is amazed that Clem already has a piece of the birthday cake. Her grandmother shows that Clem got her a long board for her birthday. Scarlett replays the video of her father. Meanwhile on the Orpheus, Clem is trying to make sense of what happened to Maddy and Raymond is locked away in a storage closet. Clem notices that his nose is bleeding. Svetlana shows Clem that the circuit boards are fried and that she doesn’t know what could have done it. Vince says that they should look at Raymond some more and Svetlana tells that he needs to focus. Samson and Frances try to open the door, but it is no use. A woman named Catherine is underwater in C.A.S.P.E.R., a submarine that can go deep in the ocean while her team monitors her progress. Suddenly the signals starts to go haywire and the team slowly lose contact with Kathryn. She tries to regain contact but loses power to her submarine. Six months later, and a girl named Scarlett is watching an interview of Catherine, the woman from before who died, where she talks about the Hermes Mission. Scarlett is called away to go to the beach. They are in South Coast, England. Scarlett’s father, Clem, gives her advice about not receiving calls after he dives.
