The scene opens with Nick and Pete looking at their billboard. It has been vandalized and a man tells that they can do it now and fix it, but it is going to cost them $300. Nick tells that he doesn’t car and asks Pete to pay the man. Nick arrives at Arraignment Court and two lawyers are arguing over a case involving a woman who hit a woman jogging and the District Attorney tells that she was driving with negligence. The woman, Laura Reed, tells that she is guilty. She thinks that she has a deal with the District Attorney’s office. But the judge sentences her to 6 months in jail. Nick stands up and tells that Laura has a child to take care of and the judge tells that the child will be put into Foster Care. Nick tries to fight her ruling, but Laura’s lawyer tells that they can’t do anything about it. Nick runs out and catches Benjamin Hopwood, Laura’s lawyer and tells that he needs to convince the judge to reopen the case. He tells that it is over. Nick reminds that there is a daughter involved in this and he tells that she will have to go into Foster Care. Nick doesn’t like this at all. ..
