Recap

The scene opens with a poker game. Pete and a group of friends are betting when Pete loses a hand and runs out of money. Another lawyer at the table says he will give him the money if he takes a case for him. Pete takes the money because he has two aces and is sure he will win. The other player throws down a pair for Jacks and the Player next to Pete throws down his Aces and is shown up by a flush. While this is happening Pete’s phone rings and the man next to him grabs the phone and throws it into the pot and says, “you know, if it rings it goes into the pot.” So now Pete lost the bet, his phone and has to do a case for free. Meanwhile, Pete’s partner Nick is reading a bedtime story to his son, Sammy. He finishes the story and the phone rings, Its Gretchen, a client and she needs him now. Nick says he came come because this is his only night with his son. She reminds he she has a retainer and he agrees to come down. He tries to call Pete to come baby sit but Pete doesn’t answer so he tell his son to get dressed. ..
