| Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden is Dresden's full name in the books. Harry Houdini and Harry Blackstone Sr. were both turn of the century magicians. David Copperfield however was born in 1956 and though he had practiced magic before, he didn't start to become famous until 1974 when he starred in the Broadway show The Magic Man. This creates time-line issues. Harry's father would most likely not have heard of Copperfield before 1974 and most likely would not have considered him noteworthy until 1977, making Harry 30 in 2007.
In actuality Harry is 34 at the beginning of the series. In What About Bob, Harry's father dies in 1982. Harry was 11 when he went to live with his uncle, meaning he was born in 1971.
Hence TV Harry is too old to have the name Copperfield.
