Martinez puts his people on high alert after Thomas' successful breakout of the Inostranka detainees. Meanwhile, Sophia and Michael learn of Thomas' plan to steal uranium fuel rods to fuel the power array and capture one of his people in an attempt to learn more, and Sean captures one of Dempsey's people.
Martinez gets a briefing from Peel and the general about the attack on Inostranka, and they both blame Martinez for being too weak. The President suddenly finds himself in the Oval Office, handcuffed to a chair. Sophia is seated behind the desk and tells Martinez that she’s been forced to take desperate measures since he refused to trust her. She tells the general to put Martinez out of his misery, and the general hands his revolve to Thomas. General: Is that supposed to be funny?
Chief of Staff Richard Peel: No, it's supposed to be supportive and self-deprecating. Anyway... I seem to have misjudged my audience.
Sterling: Mr. President, in the past, with Sophia, you've always taken the use of force off the table.
Martinez: She has played me for a fool for the last time So if it's a choice between her escaping and the use of lethal force... may God rest her soul.
