Recap

The scene opens with Mitch McDeree running away from government officials giving chase. He bangs into a tour guide and loses rhythm, when the chasers are able to get very close – but he is not giving in. He continues running and makes it across the shallow water body by Lincoln Memorial. While the officials try to cut him off, he reaches a public phone booth, and calls his wife (Abbey). She needs to follow his plan, and not ask questions. They might already be listening to them, and Abbey cannot make head or tails of what’s happening. Mitch explains – it’s happen again. Soon after that, he plunges into a moving truck for disappearing from the officials’ line of sight. Later, when he is at Martin’s office at the Park View building, he is sorry for calling his extensions three times, and admits he was being followed when Martin notices his wet shoes. The trail of a dead woman leads Mitch up to Martin – and he sure knows why Mitch is there. When Martin thinks he is already dead (no one can save him), and Mitch cannot save him either – he claims to know people at the FBI. Not before long, loud thumps on the door are calling out for Mitch McDeree and Martin jumps off his office balcony committing suicide...
