Mother Buchanan is initially delighted that Bree Larson has arrived to wed her youngest son, Jesse -- Bree's future sisters-in-law, however, are unimpressed with her naivety. But everyone changes their opinion of her when Bree politely refuses to wear Mother Buchanan's wedding dress.

| The original title of the pilot was "The Four Mrs. Buchanans." As Suzanne Sommers pointed out when the cast appeared on her talk-show, this was sort of dumb since the cast never changed -- there were always four daughters-in-law and a mother-in-law.
