In Boone County, Arkansas, Mandy is reading an article to Joe , believing she's his "Uncle Daryl," about Heather's murder and how eight of the Havenport killers are still at large. Judy gets up, coughing, and staggers out. Joe greets her and says that he's helping Mandy with her homework. He kisses Judy and goes to get her some coffee, and Judy tells Mandy to go to school. Once they're alone, Joe practices his Southern accent and Judy tells him not to do Mandy's homework because it might attract attention to Joe.
