Kimble get employed as a cut man for a black boxer named Joe Smith, who Richard believes is losing his memory due to brain injuries from fighting. A police detective, Henry Stone, is set to investigate a possible case of mob connections for Joe's manager, but finds a bigger fish when he meets Richard Kimble.
