Kimble is now in Reno, Nevada, working in a hotel as a lifeguard. Richard gets caught up in a family squabble between Dan Polichek, the hotel owner and his daughter Chris, who believes caused her mother to leave home and commit suicide. Richard feels sorry for Chris, who is bent on humiliating her dad and uses Kimble as the man she is having an affair with.
