Mike Decker, a Chicago newspaper columnist who defended Kimble during his trial is contacted by him when Richard hears that the one armed man is in the city. While on a city wide search, Decker's alcoholic wife falls off the wagon when she finds out what her husband has gotten himself into. Meanwhile, Gerard picks up on Decker's search and uses him to help hunt down Kimble.
