A gas explosion at a roadside diner had cause Richard to have amnesia. While at the hospital he is recognized by a social worker who believes he is innocent while his doctor thinks he is guilty. The one armed man in which Richard was closing in on leaves a message with Gerard, giving Kimble's location.
