In Carolina, Kimble is working at a hotel and meets Becky. Kimble tries to not get involved with her, but Becky leaves a wallet with her documents and when Richard calls asking for her, Leo, his husband answers. Later Leo turns up at the hotel and attacks Richard verbally. He is an abusive husband and the wife has got to the hotel too. Meanwhile Richard calls the lawyer to inquire about the one-armed man's passport he sent to Lt Gerard and the lawyer informs the man is already dead.
