Lt. Gerard has devised a scheme to lure Kimble into a trap. The detective has put an undercover cop inside prison to spill out some information about the one-armed man. Steve, a former cell companion of Kimble's, overhears the cop and rushes to inform his mother, the link between the two men. Kimble calls Gerard to tell him he can deliver the information at a convenient place.
