Jurisdiction - Recap

The scene opens with Nick Monohan investigating a break in at an antique store and there is Barbara on the ground with fang marks in her neck. Claire and Dylan get back from their date and they get ready to do something but there is a knock on the door. It is Nick. He tells that Barbara was killed by a vampire. At the morgue, Nick shows the body to Dylan and he agrees with Nick that a vampire killed her but that it was not a feeding because her blood is still inside of her. Dylan tells that it wasn’t him because his teeth are too narrow for the bite. Nick asks if it was Claire and Dylan tells that she was with him all night. Dylan tells that there is a small community of vampires living inside “The Gates” and that they want to have the same life as Nick does. He tells Nick to let “them” handle it and Nick tells that he can’t. Dylan asks how Nick is going to arrest a vampire. When bullets are out of the question, Nick tells that he is on his own. Claire calls Christian and tells that they need to talk.

Back at the station, Nick is looking at the pictures of Barbara. He calls Lt. Evelyn Williams and leaves a message asking about the position in Miami for the Homicide division. Nick tells Eddie that he needs a favor and he pulls out a digital camera. At Peg’s office, Andie is there getting checked out and the rash is getting worse. But Peg gives her the medicine that is supposed to suppress the Succubus side of her. She tells that she will take them. Nick is at the station and puts a cross around his neck and goes to talk to the employee that saw Barbara last. At Gloria’s house, Nick sees that she gets an irritation to the sun and leaves after getting nowhere with the questioning.

Sara has a meeting with the committee members and they are gathering the latest gossip of what happened to Barbara and decide on the booth that they are going to do for their fundraiser. Sara suggests that they wait for Claire and her friends and Karen and the rest tell that they tend to things separate from Claire and her friends and what they want to do and have a little competition. They put Sara on the committee because of her ideas. Nick investigates Barbara’s ex-husband and tells that Barbara is dead. Nick asks that if they are still friends and that the divorce was only because of the fact that Barbara was not happy. Claire goes to “The Red Door” and meets with Christian and blames him for the she tells that she can’t do it anymore and Christian comes clean of his attraction.

Sara is talking to Devon and doesn’t get why Karen and her friends don’t like Claire and her friends. Devon suggests that they have the fundraiser at Sara’s house and they will do a day spa type of thing. Sara tells that they can have the yard sale out front and both will be able to be together. Dylan is driving and gets pulled over by Nick. He tells that it is possible that Barbara was killed by a vampire living outside “The Gates”. He gives Dylan a list of people Barbara hung around and Dylan recognizes Christian. But he hides it from Nick. Dylan tells that his people are looking into the matter too and if they get to it first, it will be too late for Nick. At school, Andie is looking at the pills and Charlie comes up. He tells that he has a copy of Jane Austin’s works and that they can study together. Charlie tells that he will use self control. Andie looks at her pills and puts them in her locker.

Dylan meets Christian at “The Red Door” and tells that they need to talk. He tells that he saw his face on a list of suspects of Barbara’s murder and Christian tells that he did not kill her. Dylan tells that he misses being friends with Christian and that it was good to catch up. Meanwhile, Nick is at the station looking at the surveillance video of “The Red Door”. A lady calls and tells that someone hit her car and Nick is not paying attention. He sees Barbara getting in her car. She drives off. A black sedan follows. Nick searches the database and gets a list of all the owners of a black sedan in “The Gates”. Claire is cooking dinner and Christian walks in the door. Peg is examining Andie again and can see no signs that she is not taking the medicine that she prescribed for her. She tells that Andie needs to take the pills but Andie tells that she can control it like her mother did. Peg tries to stop her but she leaves. At the Radcliffe’s Christian is telling stories of the past and Emily likes the stories. Dylan and Emily go upstairs and Claire slams Christian against the wall and tells him to leave her family alone and never return. Dylan comes back down and everything is normal. Dylan tells Claire to get more wine. As she is getting the wine, she touches her fangs and looks at the blood secreting from them.

At the station, Eddie shows the pictures he took while following Dylan around for two days. Nick notices that one of the people that Dylan visited was Gloria. At the fundraiser, Devon is doing mud masks and takes off a mud mask and saves it. The girl tells that Devon took years off her skin. Karen and Sara walk outside and Karen tells Sara to watch out for Devon. Karen tells Claire that with all the sunscreen she could use a facial. She shows a silver chocker to Karen and Sarah gets nervous. Nick meets with Gloria and tells that he knows what she is. She tells that she and Barbara were lovers and that she went back to the shop and that she saw Barbara and that she tried to turn her into a vampire to save her. Nick tells that he has to bring her into the station. But Gloria tells that it is not going to happen. She walks to her bedroom and there is a scream. Gloria is gone. At the station, Nick calls Dylan and tells that someone took Gloria and he needs more time. Dylan tells that he will try to stall the others.

Charlie and Andie discuss the book report that they have to do. They talk about the love and connection to people. They read from the book and they kiss. Andie’s succubus side takes over and she starts to suck the life from Charlie. She stops and Charlie passes out. Back at the station, Nick is going over the list of black sedans. He hears that the woman complaining about her car being hit was actually the same place where Barbara was murdered. Back at Charlie’s, he comes to and Andie tells that she is the cause of him passing out and she needs to go. Nick visits Alex again and tells that he lied to him about that they found green paint off the car and that he had to get a dent out too. Nick tells that Alex was in the dress shop with Barbara and Alex confesses to the murder of Barbara. He tells that he went to the shop to get her back. She walked away and he grabbed her wrist and she fell through one of the display cases. Nick calls Dylan and tells that he found the killer.

Frank Buckley comes by to Devon’s Spa and tells that it was a good year. Devon brags that Frank’s infidelity paid for her Spa. Everyone is uncomfortable and Claire tells that she is not surprised by Devon. Karen tells that she was beginning to like Devon. Sara starts to walk out and Devon tells that she didn’t mean to say that and that she is still trying to deal with the fact that Frank and Vanessa are together. She tells that it was her 10th year anniversary and Frank and her were at their favorite restaurant and when Frank was in the bathroom, she asked the waiter about the tension she has been feeling and he told that Frank has been cheating on her for years. Nick is looking at Lt. Williams' card and Gloria and Dylan walk in. She tells that he is a good man and Dylan tells that he is sorry that he couldn’t help more. Nick tells that he owes Dylan. Nick gets a message from Evelyn and she tells that it is possible to make things work.

Andie takes the medicine that Peg gave her. Devon is in her Spa with the mud masks that she collected from the Fundraiser and she has a collection. Nick visits Frank and tells that he knows about the members of “The Gates” and Frank tells that he gave Nick an opportunity because he didn’t have much after the experience in Chicago. He tells that Nick has nowhere to go and that he would not be able to protect his family if he was to leave “The Gates”. Dylan comes in and Frank tells that he has something to show them. He shows the video of Nick and Dylan in the forest with Teresa and tells that everyone has secrets worth protecting.
