Digging the Dirt - Recap

The scene opens with Mike having a nightmare of Dylan and Buckley holding Sara and telling him that he cannot leave and Dylan bites Sara’s neck. Nick wakes up and Sara is in the kitchen. He talks about the pool party that she is organizing with the committee members and is trying to have everyone play nice. He tells that everything with work out. At the Radcliffe’s, Dylan and Claire are talking and Dylan tells that she has to go to Sara’s party and act like everything is normal. Nick calls Dylan and tells that they need to meet. Dylan arrives at the lake and Nick tells that he found something on Buckley. Turns out the previous owner fell down the stairs and Buckley moved in. Dylan says that it is not enough and Nick tells that they need to keep digging. He tells Dylan to dig around the Board Members and find out more. Dylan is a little weary but tells that he is in.

At the school, Andie is in the bathroom and she calls Peg. She tells that she is having terrible side effects from the medication she prescribed. Peg tells that she needs to keep taking them until she gets back from vacation. Andie takes some more pills and exits the bathroom. In the halls she bumps into Charlie and he wants to know why she keeps avoiding her. She tells that it is her problem and that she can’t tell him what is going on. At Devon’s Spa, Devon is searching on the internet for men and Nick enters. He tells that he wants to ask questions about her ex-husband. He asks about the relationship of Billy Harrison, the former owner of “The Gates” and Buckley. Devon catches on to what Nick wants and tells that Buckley and Billy had a “falling out” and Billy has his accident and Buckley got full control of “The Gates”. She tells that she was a scorn woman and nobody would listen to her.

Claire comes to the party and she gets a text from Christian saying, “I’m thirsty. U?” and she tells that she doesn’t swim. Marie comes by and tells that she wouldn’t miss it for the world. Karen comes in and Marie is shocked that Sarah put Claire and Karen together. Dylan tells that the numbers don’t add Lloyd Foster, Buckley’s CFO and tells that 80% of the money goes to “The Gates” trust. Nick tells that it might not have been about money but anger. Nick tells that Lloyd might have some insight. At school, Brett sees that something is up with Andie and she talks sternly to him and tells that they are not together anymore and for him to leave her alone. Back at the pool party, Marie and Vanessa asks if Sara likes “The Gates” and Sara tells that the “people” need a little work. Sara goes up to Claire and tells that Karen is a good person. Claire tells that she will go over and say hello to Karen. Devon arrives and splashes water at Claire. Everyone is upset that Devon has come by and Claire tells that she appreciates everything that Sara is doing but tells that she needs to leave.

Nick and Dylan meet with Lloyd and Lloyd tells that Harrison was fond of Devon and if he found out that Buckley was having an affair, it would have been “apocalyptic”. Harrison was so distressed that he was going to shut down “The Gates” and then the next day, he had the accident. At the school, Andie flushes the pills. Back at the pool party, Devon is bragging about her conquest of internet dating and walks over to Sara who is not that happy. She asks what the matter is and she tells that she just wanted everyone to get along. Devon tells Sara that she is nice and others are not. Devon tells that Nick came by her Spa and was asking questions about Buckley. Sara tells that she doesn’t know anything. Karen hears their conversation from afar and Devon gives Sara walks over and offers some Venison and calls it obvious. She bumps Devon in the pool and Karen walks away smiling. Dylan and Nick go to a company that was added in Harrison’s will. They enter an office but it is a fake office that is being monitored. Dylan tells that he has done the fake office thing before and hints that Harrison possibly could not be dead and that he is a vampire.

Devon is chatting with beastlyboy online and tells that they should meet. Devon asks for his phone number and Sara walks into the Spa. She tells that she wants some more tea and tells that it is really good. Devon tells it is because of her “secret ingredient”. Devon asks about Nick’s investigation on Buckley and the tea takes its effect and Sara tells that Nick had her look at Harrison’s will and “The Gates” records. There was a clause added to the will before he died. Devon drops Sara back at her home and Karen sees it. She doesn’t look happy. On her drive back, Devon calls beastlyboy and finds out that his name is Henry and tells that she can meet him. Back at school, Brett wants to know what is wrong with Andie and she tells him to get away. Charlie runs up and tells Brett to back off and pushes him. They get into a little fight and Andie jumps in. Brett sees veins on Andie’s back and she tells that she needs to go.

Back with Devon and Henry and they are “busy” and she tells that she knows that he is different and tells that he can show his true self. Henry is a werewolf. At the cemetery they are going to dig up Harrison’s body to see if it is there. They get to the bottom and there is a body. It is Harrison because of the artificial hip replacement. Nick has Dylan turn over Harrison’s head and Nick realizes it was blunt trauma to the head. Dylan gets in and Claire is there. She tells that she could smell Dylan and wants to know what is going on. He tells that Buckley is blackmailing Nick and him and they are trying to find something to hurt Buckley with. Claire is wondering why Dylan is trying to harm Buckley after everything that he has done for them and tells that he needs to shut it down. The next day, Charlie is walking to school and Andie’s friend walks up to him. She sees that Charlie has a black eye from when Brett hit him. She tells that Andie is going through stuff now and that she really cares for Charlie. He tells that he doesn’t know what is going on with her.

At the station, Nick is trying to get Dylan to come by and he tells that he is busy. Buckley enters the station and tells Nick to stop the investigation. Nick tells that Buckley is trying to blackmail him and that he is not going to give it up. He tells that Buckley is the suspect of Harrison’s murder. Buckley tells that Harrison was like a father to him and that he would never do it. Nick gets permission to continue his investigation. Devon is in the bathtub with Henry and she tells that she likes that he could show his true self to her. She tells that a lot of people have hurt her and Henry tells that he’d do anything to protect Devon. She gets out of the bathtub and puts more bubbles in the tub. Henry starts to stiffen up and he can’t move. Devon tells that he is going to give his eyes to her.

Claire comes home and finds roses on the table. They are from Christian. She throws them against the wall. She calls him and tells that he needs to stop. There is a knock on the door. It is Karen. She tells that she can’t come in and Karen tells that she doesn’t have to be invited in. She tells that they have a problem. Devon has been giving Sara her tea and it is starting to take effect. She suggests that they work together and “talk” to Devon. At the station, Nick is looking at the photos from Harrison’s death and has found something interesting. Sara is at Claire’s and she is happy that Karen and Claire are getting along. Claire tells that their meeting is not completely social and tells that Devon’s tea is too good to be true and that she needs to watch out for her. At the station Nick is talking to Lloyd and tells that he needs to have all the financial documents from him. Andie is walking through the forest and she bumps into Brett. She tells that she doesn’t want to see him but he tells that he knows what she is going through because he is not human either. He shows his true self to Andie. She shows her veins and tells that it started with her mother.

Lloyd goes to the fake office and starts dumping files. Nick is watching from his truck and can see the whole thing with the camera. Buckley enters and tells that it was Lloyd that killed Harrison. Nick starts to go inside the office and there is a gun shot. Buckley is shot in the shoulder and Lloyd tells that he is going to burn down the place. As he gets out his lighter, Nick is there and tells Lloyd to drop the gun. Nick arrests Lloyd and tells that the crime scene photos were never released but he had them on his website and set himself up. Nick goes up to Buckley and Buckley tells that Nick can leave if he wants and that he won’t stop him. At the station, Vanessa comes in and tells that Buckley looked a long time for Nick and that it would be bad if he left. She tells that he is protecting her. She comes clean and tells that she is a vampire. The scene changes with Brett and Andie walking together and Charlie feeling sad, Sara is deciding whether or not to drink the tea and Devon is performing a ceremony with the new werewolf eyes. Vanessa tells that Buckley’s main focus for the gates is love.
