Claire and Dylan Radcliff fight to hide not only their involvement in Nick's case, but their rather unusual family secret. Meanwhile, Charlie Monohan tries to adjust to his new school, finding a friend in the beautiful but unavailable Andie Bates. Just when his family is finally settling in, Nick's world is rocked by a late-night caller with some terrible news

Chief Nick Monohan gets welcomed to the community officially and he vows that he will protect their families, but can he really?

Barbara Jansen has just turned up dead. Nick finds her body in her dress shop. There are signs of a struggle and bite wounds on Barbara's neck. Dylan won't give Nick the names of any other vampires, as he doubts Barbara was killed by someone who lives inside The Gates. As Dylan does some digging inside the vampire community, Nick questions those closest to Barbara. The victim's business partner, Gloria Bennett, has a few secrets she's been keeping. Meanwhile Frank Buckley shows a dirty little secret to Nick and Dylan.



7 :01x07 - Digging the Dirt

They stumble upon a former owner whose accident seems to be a little bit more then a trip down the stairs. Meanwhile, Sara is trying to play the good neighbor and tries to invite Claire and Karen over for a pool party but when Devon arrives, things get a little wet. Devon puts her plan into action with a special piece to the puzzle.
