Carlos Sanchez (Carlos Gomez), a medical examiner who is forced to work with Jim, gets along with him and together they get along and find common ground to work together. Jim, thinking that Palm Glade is going to be a relaxing time, is waken up to a sleepy town that is not that sleepy after all. Along the way Jim meets Callie (Kiele Sanchez), an attractive nurse with a past that intrigues Jim.

I really like Matt and Kiele as a couple. I would hate the jailbird husband to get involved with their relationship. I would like Kiele to divorce him and work with matt on crimes while she is going to school. they make a lovely couple. he is so handsome and she is lovely. so please get them together. I would most likely stop watching the program if the chemistry between the two would discontinue. Read more

Recaps
2x13: Breakout recap: The scene opens with two boys venturing in the woods discovering stuff they don’t like – things like tools and hammer. But they are happy to find a discarded bicycle. They decide to do a little pool dragging, and find something exceptionally heavy. They hope it’s another bicycle, but no it’s a dead guy. Back at the detective squad, Detective Jim and Regional Director Colleen Manus discuss why he isn’t near the corpse as yet. And Colleen is taking a prisoner, but no she is not alone – Agent Dan Ranson is going with her. It turns out the prisoner is acting funny saying he is sick etcetera, but Colleen isn’t taking any of the bullshit. When Jim gets to the woods, Carlos tells him how the injury might have happened. And they discover the body face down – visible is the man’s uniform with a security guard tag on it... read more.

2x12: Shine recap: The scene opens with an Ernest Hemingway special booze cruise on the move, when one of the waitresses complains about the men trying to grab her. When she spills her drink overboard and tries to see the mess she has created, she finds a dead body underneath the deck. When Detective Jim and Dr. Carlos arrive at the scene, they find the man was shot in the head. Although he looks grey haired, Carlos points out most of it is white dye. Callie arrives, and it doesn’t take long for Jim to get distracted. She wants to know what samples to take, and Jim isn’t able to think perfectly rational. All he can say is ‘good question’. When they enquire the waitresses, they say the other cruisers look just like the victim. And all of them look the same – white hair and beard – and similar to Hemingway... read more.

2x11: Beached recap: The scene opens with a woman finding a necklace in the sand. She pulls it and uncovers a dead body in the sand. Jim and Carlos arrive on the scene and Jim is upset that his game of golf was interrupted. Daniel says that the victim is Josh Richardson and he works for Herington Group working on Concept and Development. Jim tells Daniel to look up the company to make sure that it is a company. Jim and Carlos admire the beach and Jim asks where Callie is. Carlos says that she isn’t answering her phone. Carlos asks what he needs and he says that he was just wondering. They go back to Josh’s body and Jim finds a 3-carrott diamond ring in a pouch. Jim goes up to the woman who found the body and gives her his card to call if there is anything important. She tells that she will call even if there isn’t. Jim is not surprised that she is dumb. Carlos comes up and says that God doesn’t give from both hands... read more.

2x10: Swamp Thing recap: The scene opens with a Scout troop walking through the fields when two boys smell something. They find a dead boar. The head is gone and they find a finger. Jim and Carlos arrive on scene and Carlos says that the boar has been dead 5 days. Inside the boar’s stomach, Carlos finds a vertebra with a gun shot lodged inside. At the station, Carlos finds that the person that was eaten was dead for 5 days, but the boar was killed recently. Daniel says that John Jackson is the victim. John was a marine. Jim says that he is going to see what they can find at John’s place. Lt. Manus tells him to bring Daniel with him and he says that Daniel needs to find the rest of the boar. She agrees and tells Carlos to go with Daniel and Jim needs to call Callie to go with him... read more.

2x9: Iron Pipeline recap: The scene opens with Callie and Jeff arriving at Jeff’s school for the last day of Soccer Camp. She acts if he is excited to be starting Freshman Year and he laughs about it. She gives him a check to give to the coach and he says that she can give it to him. As they walk up, two joggers come up yelling for someone to help. They say that Coach Ryan has been shot. Callie runs over to them and sees the coach. She tries to give him CPR, but it is too late. He is dead. Jim and the rest of the FDLE arrive and Jim asks how Callie is doing with this. She tells that Coach Ryan was friends with them since Jeff was 8 years old. Carlos comes up and says that the Coach died from the gun shot wound. Callie tells Jim that she heard some parents talking about how students are talking about how a student named Shane Wyatt brought a gun to school... read more.
