The Glades

The Glades

The Glades follows Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore), as an employee for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement who doesn't like to play by the book. Jim, a police officer recently transferred from Chicago after an altercation with his Captain when the Captain suspected Jim of sleeping with his wife. Jim finds Palm Glade, a nice town of sunshine and golf, a trait Jim loves to partake in. Carlos Sanchez (Carlos Gomez), a medical examiner who is forced to work with Jim, gets along with him and together they get along and find common ground to work together. Jim, thinking that Palm Glade is going to be a relaxing time, is woken up to a sleepy town that is not that sleepy after all. Along the way Jim meets Callie (Kiele Sanchez), an attractive nurse with a past that intrigues Jim.

Created by Clifton Campbell (White Collar, Profiler, 21 Jump Street), The Glades is an interesting look into the police department and the different stories they have to share. With the interesting cast behind it, the show is full of surprises from start to finish.

Do Not Split up Callie and MattRating: 1 likes, 0 dislikes

My husband and I never miss a show. We both think it is well done and like all the characters, but we do not want the relationship between them to end. We both hope Matt does not have an affair with the female cop. Keep the show going, not sure if I will watch if they split up. Thanks Read more

I really like Matt and Kiele as a couple. I would hate the jailbird husband to get involved with their relationship. I would like Kiele to divorce him and work with matt on crimes while she is going to school. they make a lovely couple. he is so handsome and she is lovely. so please get them together. I would most likely stop watching the program if the chemistry between the two would discontinue. Read more

3x10: Endless Summer recap: The episode begins on the beach with the dead body of a woman being found entangled in a sand-sifter. Jim and Jennifer later arrive at the scene. Carlos informs two that the woman was already dead when she was dragged by the sand sifter. Jim then finds a bloodied towel, buried in the sand, and concludes that it belongs to the victim. Written on the towel is ‘Windermere Grand Resorts’, which is possibly the hotel at which the woman was staying. Also there are cuts and bruises on the victim’s body; hence Jennifer concludes that this is probably a robbery, where the victim tried to resist the thief. Later Jim is informed that the hotel manager informed the victim as Brenda Jackson, from Denver, Colorado... read more.

3x9: Islandia recap: The episode begins with a guy and a girl stepping on to a beach after some snorkeling. The girl then proceeds to gather some drinking water in her flask, from the nearby woods. She then sees a trail of blood and follows it, and then much to her horror finds the body of a man with a battered face, lying on the floor of the woods. Jim meanwhile isn’t too happy with Callie not being able to make time to talk to him even on the phone. Carlos later tells Jim that the time of death of the victim is between “11am and 12noon today”. Also there are puncture wounds on the victim’s skull, which indicates that the murder weapon had a curved edge, and that the victim was attacked from behind... read more.

3x8: Fountain Of Youth recap: The episode begins at a spa, where a man dressed like a musketeer, explains its wonders to its clients. Suddenly, they are all shocked to see the dead body of a woman floating in a small pool nearby. Later at the scene Jennifer meets up with Jim. Carlos tells the two that the victim is Brandy Philips a retired supermodel. Turns out, Brandy bought the spa a few years ago. Carlos also informs them that, her husband Bruce is flying in as he has been informed of the murder. Jim then finds a diamond watch in the pool, with a brown hair stuck to it. Engraved behind the watch are the words “B and B forever”. Jim assumes the watch was gifted to Brandy by her husband Bruce... read more.

3x7: Public Enemy recap: The episode begins with three boys playing with a football on the road. The boys then throw the ball across the fence of a house as an excuse to check out the house from the inside. While they are about to enter the house, one of the boys finds a dead body lying covered on a bench right outside the house. They recognize the body as being of the woman who owns the house. Meanwhile, Colleen tells Jim that the DA’s office is worried that his methods might not stand up to the scrutiny of a jury, hence Jennifer was sent to look into his unconventional investigative methods. Colleen then tells Jim that Jennifer is going to be driving with him from today, so she can better understand his methods... read more.

3x6: Old Times recap: The episode begins with a man and a woman finding the dead body of a woman lying in the woods, while jogging through it. Callie and Jim in the meanwhile are enjoying a few moments together, in bed. Just then Carlos gives Jim a call and informs him about the dead body. Callie too gets a call from work. Later Carlos informs Jim that the woman’s body was stabbed eight times, and that she was killed somewhere else and then dumped in the woods. Colleen then comes in with Jennifer and tells Jim that the woman who is killed is Bree Michaels, who is connected with something called as the ‘innocence project’... read more.
