At the Texas Federal Bank at 10:13am, a Code 4120 is in progress. We find on the news that the Code 4120 is a bank robbery. The news shows a video taken from a hostage’s cell phone. It is Jack Bailey and Dan Stark who are robbing the bank. Dan stands up and says that everyone needs to stay down and that they are police officers. Lt. Ruiz and the rest of the team are watching the news at the station. She wants to see Jack and Dan when they get to the police station. Flashback 2 days earlier and Lt. Ruiz is briefing the team with the latest news about a bank heist intel that they got from the FBI. Dan and Jack are talking on how Liz and Kyle are having problems and Jack gave her advice. Dan tells that Jack needs to go after Liz but Jack tells that he is over her. Lt. Ruiz is upset that Dan isn’t listening but Dan repeats everything she said. Jack wonders how he does that and Dan simply replies, “It’s a gift”. Walter Diparco is the hire for the getaway and Dan tells that they are barking up the wrong tree and asks for something their size to deal with.

They are sent to a case of Stolen Dry Cleaning. They enter and Jack is upset that they are there on a petty crime case. Dan tells that he has a hunch that their petty crime is going to be something big. They find an entry point and it is a big hole. The scene cuts to Walter Diparco, who is free on parole for 11.5 days. He is with his daughter and they are having a beer. He tells that he is going to be there for her and swears that he will be making up for her soon. She is worried that he is going to get himself locked up again and he tells that he was only caught by Dan Stark and that he is a “super cop” or something. Back at the Dry Cleaners, they are examining the hole and Dan sees a stain on his shirt and asks if the guy can get it out. He then bends over and finds a blade from a circular saw. Flashback 10 hours earlier and a man named Tommy is cutting through the wall. His boss Doff tells him to join him after he cuts through.
At the station, a lady tells that it is a Diamond Blade and that it wouldn’t be hard to find because they are expensive and only a few can afford them. Dan is sporting a wife beater shirt because his shirt is in the Dry Cleaners. Jack and Dan start going to the construction sites and on the third one the manager tells that saws are Tommy’s area. Jack and Dan walk up to Tommy who attempts to shoot them with a staple gun and runs away. Dan runs at him and he kicks Dan in the stomach. Jack tries to cut him off but Tommy throws a trash can at him. He scales down the ladder and gets away. Back at the P.D. Jack and Dan talk with Lt. Ruiz and they tell that he got away but they need resources. Ruiz tells that all the resources are tied up.
At a fancy apartment Doff and his other guy talk about the fact that he doesn’t eat meat and Tommy sits down. He tells that the cops were there but he didn’t tell them anything. Doff tells that he is not angry. Jack goes to Liz and asks for a warrant to search Tommy’s house. He asks about Kyle and Liz says that he is still acting weird. Jack tells he that Kyle will come around. Dan gets a visitor. It is Molly Diparco she tells Dan to talk to Walter because he has always looked up to him and she tells that she thinks that he has gotten himself into something. In the parking lot, Jack is trying to convince Dan not to go but he says that you have to follow your hunch. Meanwhile, Jack and a team enter Tommy’s residence and he is dead with a needle in his arm. It looks like an overdose. But, 18 hours earlier and Tommy is in the meeting with Doff who then gets his men to hold down Tommy and Doff gives him a lethal dose of heroin.

Dan is having drinks with Walter and they are reminiscing of old times. Walter tells that he is not doing anything illegal and that everything is fine. But the scene cuts with Walter with Doff and everything is not fine. He tells that the cops are on to their plan and Doff tells that the cops don’t know anything. He gives Walter $10,000 as a good faith that he knows that everything will go well. Jack and Dan go back to the Dry Cleaners for his shirt and a security guard for the bank is upset that his 5 uniforms were stolen. Jack knows how the criminals are going to rob the bank. They go to the Federal Bank and see the security guards. Jack tackles one of the guards and Dan tells that everyone needs to get down on the ground. A bystander is filming the incident on his phone. Lt. Ruiz arrives and Dan takes the blame for acting on one of his hunches. Jack thanks him that he took the fall and Dan says that he can buy him lunch. Meanwhile, Doff and his crew are stealing explosives and have the 5 security officer uniforms.
Dan and Jack are eating ribs and Dan talks about Liz. Jack tells that it was their first date and he knew he was going to spend their lives together but Jack was wrong. Dan gets a call and it is Molly. She wants to talk to Dan. A rib drops and Dan gets sauce on his shirt again. At a restaurant, Molly tells Jack and Dan that her father told her to stay away from the 4th street bridge today. Jack thinks that there is a bank near the 4th street bridge and he follows a hunch. Dan tells for Jack to watch out for a old station wagon. One pulls up to the front of a bank and parks. Jack attempts to call it in but Dan stops him. He takes the radio with him and gets in the car with Walter. They tell that they know his plan but for him to tell them. Flashback 20 minutes earlier and Doff tells that there is nothing he has to do and that his men will handle everything. Jack thinks that it is too easy and flashback 18 minutes earlier, Doff walks and opens the van door and it is men with security uniforms and guns.
In the car Jack that he doesn’t understand the reason for the charges and tells that Walter and his crew are decoys. But Walter says that there is no alarm. Suddenly an alarm goes off. Walter was set up. But Jack tells Walter to drive past the bridge before the charges go off. The police pass right pass them and the charges start going off. They have to find the real heist. They find out that the security company has two places for guards, an art museum, and a jewelry store. Dan flips a coin and picks the art museum but Jack gets the hunch that it is the jewelry store. They arrive at the jewelry store and Walter accidently crashes into another vehicle. They enter but the jewelry store is empty. Meanwhile, back at Dallas Trust and Loan, Ruiz and her team arrest the decoy criminals. Back at the jewelry store, the real criminals arrive and see that the cops are already there. They leave and Jack and Dan can’t catch them. Dan leans on the fire hydrant and it falls over and they get all wet.

Back at the office, Lt. Ruiz is upset that they made damages and Jack admits that he acted on a hunch. She tells them to get out of her office. Dan offers to buy him lunch. They are eating ribs on the hood of the car and Jack is tired of getting yelled at. Dan tells that it is unavoidable. Jack wonders what happened with Doff and the 5 guys. Fast forward 3.5 Hours later. Doff is waiting for them. The crew walks up and they are upset that Doff set them up. There is a gun fight and Doff takes out all the guards but one. He starts to have a heart attack. The last guard goes up and is out of bullets. Doff shoots the last guy and dies of a heart attack.
3 days later Liz tells that Walter will get his old jail cell. Walter tells that Dan needs to give the $10,000 to his daughter Molly. Walter tells that you need to take a chance and make things right. Jack hears this and tells that he will be right back. He is going to do something stupid and impulsive. Jack walks up to Liz and kisses her. He tells her that he is not over her. She tells that Kyle wants her to move in with her. He tells that the kiss never happened. But before leaving he tells that she won’t move in with Kyle because he has a hunch.
