The scene opens in West Dallas at Lt. Ruiz’s place. She gets out of the shower and sees a man outside. The scene flash-forwards to 11 hours and Dan says that she is going to be relieved of duties and says that he is going to make it his personal mission. They go to her place and Dan goes through the scenario and Ruiz says that she was exhausted and couldn’t identify the Peeping Tom because she just got back from Yoga class. Dan and Jack go to the Yoga class and Dan gives a speech about a pervert being loose and that they need to watch out. He gives them safety whistles and tells them to be safe. Jack pulls Dan aside and says that he is too close to the case and that he should settle down. Dan says that is when cops do the best police work. Meanwhile at Drayton Oil Headquarters, office of the lead counsel, three men talk about a “Blackbird File” and they agree that they are going to sell it to the highest bidder. ..
