The episode begins with Wendy Scott-Carr bringing Will before a Grand Jury, hoping to indict him on charges of judicial bribery, a felony that could land him in jail for three to seven years. Diane breaks the news to Alicia before telling the partners that she expects Gardner will be indicted. Worried that Will is in this predicament because of Peter, Alicia stops by the SA’s office, then abruptly retreats, mumbling something about needing to talk to him about Jackie. In the meantime, she urges Will to use her —and her knowledge of the SA—to bolster his defense. Investigator-for-hire Andrew Wiley takes time off from his Mr. Mom chores to testify against Will, pointing out that three judges decided in his favor 90% of the time, and that all three were part of his pickup basketball games. ..
