An Insult to Mike Judge and Vegans everywhereRating: 0 likes, 1 dislikes

I remember a few years ago seeing the ads to this show on ABC. Now I will admit I was a little hyped to see this show. I loved Beavis and Butt-Head which I consider a classic to this day, and I thought a new one was just what ABC needed, but instead of a funny show I feel like I got a bucket of wet and soggy vegan food dumped on me. The Goode Family centers around Gerold Goode and his many adventures with Helen, Ubuntu, and so many more. So it sounds decent enough for a show, and is similar to Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but this show turns out to be such a watered downed version of it. Unlike the last Mike Judge show where the characters were full of wit, and were funny have been completely turned into uninteresting characters who lack the heart of other show's characters. Gerold is idiotic, always stand to be a vegan. Helen seems to smart now and oncely dumb. Bliss seems annoyed at her family. Mr. Heelo and The angry cop, I consider the worst characters, is not only annoying, but arrogant jerks as well. I also hate how the angry cop rushs his prisoners to do the work for him. In one episode Gerold buys a high-way wich ended up to be prisoner work ground and the angry cop is not amuse. It's just like Scaredy Squirrel where his boss (Nester) bullies him at the stash 'n hord. It's annoying to say the least. The stories are mostly rehashed and the ones that aren't are very stupid like a Radio control freaks holding Gerold hostage. Are they this desperate for ideas? The humor is also another annoying factor and it irritates me. Most of it are gags that should be funny, but aren't. Dean and his prisoners make fun of Ganster films. It's very annoying. Ganster humor can work, but the way it' done is just terrible. Oggy and The Cockroaches. The episode "Go Slow With Your Dough" makes fun of ganster films and the way they do it results in comedy. In The Goode Family it's irritating, and unfunny. The artwork is terrible to look at. While the characters look okay the sets look bland, and the colors are a little on the overblend side. The animation is even worse though. Characters move so stiffly, and dialog are off most of the time. The Goode Family in the end fails to hold up to the previous King of The Hill, and is nothing more than a complete pathetic attempt to recapture it's glory. Fans of Mike Judge should stick with Beavis and Butt-Head, King of The Hill, and even the movies. Just don't waste your time at all with this show, and let it be taken off for Mike Judge's sake.
