The Green Hornet: Hornet Save Thyself

A gun presented to Britt as a birthday present goes off, killing a disgruntled former employee who Britt was at odds with. Britt goes on the run to clear himself of a charge of murder, while an associate at the Sentinel appoints himself editor and writes negative editorials about Britt's case.

Recap

Britt arrives home and finds Kato and the others have thrown him a surprise party. Editor Dale Hyde organized the party, and gives Britt a present: a revolver. As Britt turns, he sees a man there: former employee Eddie Rech. The two have a long history. Dale tries to get them to make up, but Britt refuses. The revolver suddenly goes off and Eddie collapses, dead...

The date on the evidence folder at the police station has the date of the crime Britt was accused of as 1-4-67, which makes Britt's birthday January 4th.

Britt's birthday party in the opening scene is the only time in the series when all five series stars are in the same scene together.
