The Hotel is a documentary series which reveals what life is like in a British hotel as it's never been seen before. The Damson Dene, is a three-star British holiday hotel, located in the Lake District. The Grosvenor in Torquay was the setting for the second series.

Mark and the team are preapring for Christmas at the hotel. Things end up getting off to a bad start though after the bargain bin Christmas decorations fail to transform the hotel. Alison phones in sick, leaving Mark to run things alone on one of the hotel's busiest days of the year.
