	Mike McNeil, played by Denis Leary (1) Mike McNeil has problems. He's married to Karen, is having an affair with Toni, and has a crush on Jan. Somehow he manages to do his job as a detective while abusing alcohol, cigarettes, and any other substance he can get his hands on. Plus, he's always in trouble at work for breaking the rules, which is not a good thing for a cop. He's unconventional, to say the least.
