I am absolutely appalled that the mother of Wendy and Chris wanted nothing to do with them because of their father! My mother left my biological father due to abuse when I was one; however, she raised me with a wonderful man who adopted me (regardless of race), and always tried to help me understand her reasoning for leaving. The mother should be ashamed of herself, those two children are just as much a part of her as they are of him.
