Recap

The scene opens with Patrick and Teresa outside the court house, when she reminds him he was reprimanded for the third time in a criminal court in one year. Patrick is hardly bothered, and he finds something more interesting that deserves his attention. Eve Mulberry, surrounded by her husband, lawyer and a bunch of press, stands nervously at the courthouse entrance. Teresa lets on she is the owner of a famous wine company, and Patrick is having a good look at her. He already has a hunch, and approaches her through the press crowd, only to ask if she loved her parents. She did, of course. Patrick follows the lawyers and defendant Eve into the courtroom. At the hearing, the prosecution opens the case saying that Eve may look as sweet as the grapes she grows, but she is not. She was an adulteress, even though she may deny it, but truth is that the victim was her dance teacher - someone who blackmailed her for money. She grew distressed about it, and took things into her own hand. ..
