The scene opens with Patrick and Teresa outside the court house, when she reminds him he was reprimanded for the third time in a criminal court in one year. Patrick is hardly bothered, and he finds something more interesting that deserves his attention. Eve Mulberry, surrounded by her husband, lawyer and a bunch of press, stands nervously at the courthouse entrance. Teresa lets on she is the owner of a famous wine company, and Patrick is having a good look at her. He already has a hunch, and approaches her through the press crowd, only to ask if she loved her parents. She did, of course. Patrick follows the lawyers and defendant Eve into the courtroom. At the hearing, the prosecution opens the case saying that Eve may look as sweet as the grapes she grows, but she is not. She was an adulteress, even though she may deny it, but truth is that the victim was her dance teacher - someone who blackmailed her for money. She grew distressed about it, and took things into her own hand.

Outside the courtroom, Patrick approaches the prosecution lawyer, and tells him he knows Eve is innocent. Patrick's gut feeling is no moving the lawyer even a little bit, and he can tell that Eve's saying she loved her parents does not prove anything. Besides, he is making useless comments without any evidence. However, Patrick challenges him a million dollars that Eve is innocent. The prosecution thinks the conversation is a waste of time, so Patrick better stop messing with his case. He will not mess with the case, he is going to fix it. When he gets to Teresa grabbing a bit at the court cafeteria, she is not willing to involve CBI in the case. If Eve has to be proven innocent, the court is equipped enough to do that. But no, Patrick will not budge, but only with Teresa's sandwich, to make sure she follows him running.
Before long, the arrive at the winery, where Eve and her husband are sharing what they believe could be her last moments of freedom. So they do not want the cops around them at least for now. After Patrick lets on he is here to help them, they sit at a balcony, where Patrick lets on what he thinks. Eve is not confessing she had an affair with the dance teacher Carlos, but when she sees Patrick and Teresa are the only ones who can help, she stops thinking about hurting her husband, and finally admits. The husband is shocked, and stands away from the furniture, when Amy (Eve's best friend and business partner) arrives with Eve's younger sister Gretchen. It turns out the sisters have issues, which Gretchen claims is like any other pair of sisters, but Amy should have had knowledge about the affairs. And for Patrick, Eve's husband is still standing after his wife dropped a bomb on him - he could have had prior knowledge as well. So that makes both of them suspects. Amy thought the CBI was here to help? They are, and Patrick thinks they are off to a solid start.
Next, Patrick and Teresa arrive at Carlos' neighborhood. Teresa canvases a house, when Patrick notices someone peeping out from the curtains of the house on the other side of the street. Hoping to get a heads up, he knocks on the door. The house belongs to a retired old woman, who can hardly see. After she knows Teresa is Patrick's partner, and sees her knocking on the door of the opposite house, she can keep knocking all day. Meanwhile, Wayne and Grace are out investigating Eve's case at the office of the detective who indicted her. He turns out uncooperative, and is overseeing the fact that a man with a murder record spoke to Carlos the day he was killed. Back at the neighborhood, when asked questions, the old woman claims to have seen nothing at first. When Patrick tricks her aged ego, she lets on she saw a thin blonde entering Carlos's place on the night of the murder, after which she ran out. Teresa shows her a picture of Eve, and the old woman says it was her.
On the way back to HQ, Teresa tries to explain they have an eye-witness who says Eve is guilty. Without evidence, Teresa cannot tell the team to be working on this. Before long, Wayne announces the man who spoke to Carlos. He turns out to be an imposter as well. While he seems to have spoken to Carlos as some Reilly, he has been charged in Ireland for manslaughter as Russell. Russell is the man who is their biggest hunch now, but Patrick doesn't stop thinking. Meanwhile, Wayne and Kimball have Summer wired up for doing a sting operation on Russell. Patrick and Teresa go back to the winery with a picture of Russell. However, they discover two things - one, that Gretchen is unaware of the right glasses for wine sampling, and that Eve has not seen the man in the picture. Meanwhile at CBI HQ, the prosecution lawyer pays a visit - lividly wanting an explanation why they are messing with the case.

He doesn't like Patrick one bit, and calls him a psycho. And he blames Teresa for allowing all this. As the detectives sit at the table in a bar, Summer is pretending to be a hooker at the bar stools. And before long in comes Russell, who is happy to hear about Summer being able to provide him confidential numbers of rich people - credit card details and all that helps to commit internet banking fraud. Summer starts talking about how much she wants, but Russell doesn't want to do that in the open. He takes her behind a door at the rear end of the bar, as Wayne and Kimball listen to their conversation. Kimball wants to jump into action, but Wayne wants to wait as Russell is close to revealing what they want to hear. However, just as Summer brings up Carlos, and Russell's voice gets aggressive, the detectives get him arrested.
At interrogation, Russell is not coming clean, but it turns out he is a self-admitted imposter. Yes, Carlos lost his 20 grand on strippers and booze, but he wouldn't obviously kill him if he wanted the money back, would he? Just as Russell is making his statements sound like he wants to bribe, Patrick comes up with a plan. But he is keeping quiet. He gets to Teresa - and tells her to call Eve and her husband. She must also arrange for a bunch of webcams. Then he gets back to the interrogation cell, and tells Russell he will let him go, but on one condition - he has to build a false ID for him. It will cost $100,000 (instead of the usual $200,000), but Patrick is game.
Next, he gets to Kimball and Wayne, to see who can do an Irish accent better. The plan is to set up Russell - as he is supposed to deliver the ID to someone he has never seen or heard before. Kimball is in no mood to try a fake accent, so Wayne's effort proves the only option they have. Patrick has Amy set up to meet Russell. She has supposedly just heard Russell's voice. Before long, they have Eve and her husband at Teresa's office. Patrick gets there with a pack of webcams - saying they were discovered by the new owner of Carlos' house while he was having it refurbished. Eve hopes the real killer will be revealed from them. At the same time, her husband hopes it won't be a long shot.

With just over an hour left for the verdict, the CBI team reaches the parking basement where Russell is supposed to deliver the false ID CDs to Amy - whom he thinks is Patrick's liaison. And Amy thinks the CD contains the videos caught in the webcam. She pays Russell $100,000 and gets the CD. Then she takes out a gun from her bag, and wants to know where else the video might exist. Russell has not idea of what's going on, and out come the detectives and arrest both of them. Climax - the court is about to announce the judgment, when Patrick and Teresa get Amy into court - so that her testimonial proves Eve is innocent. Livid, the judge calls all of them to her chamber - and tells Patrick he is not welcome. And then, the story is revealed - Amy framed Eve knowingly, wearing a blonde wig to Carlos' place when she went in wanting salsa lessons. She claims she just wanted what was hers. The episode ends.
