LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC has taken "The Nine" off the schedule.

The low-rated freshman drama "The Nine" -- about the aftermath of a botched robbery and hostage situation -- has been taken off the schedule, effective immediately.

Seven episodes of "The Nine's" 13-episode order have aired. On Wednesday, the final night of the November sweep, ABC will air a special "20/20" in the low-rated serialized drama's 10 p.m. slot.

According to the network, the remaining six episodes of "Nine," will return later in the season. The decision mirrors ABC's move this month to bench the new drama "Six Degrees."

In its most recent airing, "Nine" averaged a minuscule 4.1 million viewers.

That sucks. Big time.
This is a good show, yet no one's watching.

*sigh*

Well, it looks as though we may still get to see the last 6 episodes they filmed, but I can't imagine they lead to any satisfying conclusion. And who knows, they may just scrap it and never even show them at all.
I wouldn't be surprised.

Aw...I'm sorry guys. I hope they don't cancel it, and if they do, I hope they show the episodes with a satisfying ending.

I hope so too, andrew, and thanks... but I really don't expect it.

Networks screw us over so often. This is why I choose so few new shows to watch each fall... it's an investment to get into a new show, only to have them yank it away in a couple weeks after you've gotten sucked in. It's to the point where I don't want to watch on networks at all.... just wait until the season's over then buy the ones I hear are good on DVD.

Guess I'm feeling rather pessimistic today. This was a worthy show.
