While Rebecca is mourning the death of her father, Kirsten becomes increasingly impatient with Sandy's absence, leading her to visit Rebecca. Meanwhile, Marissa hangs out with Alex's friends and Caleb seeks proof that Lindsay is his daughter.
On the season 2 DVD, this episode is entitled "The Father Knows Best", which was the working title for the episode.
Kirsten: Have you seen Seth?
Sandy: Well I've smelled him. Smells like Teen Spirit to me.
Sandy: The FBI was here.
Kirsten: Well it wouldn't be the Cohen house if it wasn't a visit from law enforcement.
Seth: Do you not see what's going on here?
Ryan: Yes. You're wallowing.
Lindsay: I don't need to take a test. 'Cause I know that my real dad wouldn't treat me this way.
Summer: See ya, Cohen.
Seth: See ya, Summer.
Summer: I'm only saying this for the people that live with you: take a shower, Cohen. Zach and I didn't have sex.
Rebecca and Sandy scatter Max's ashes into the ocean. But it was established that Max was Jewish and Jewish people arn't allowed to be cremated.
Marissa's car is different in this episode than in previous episode. In this episode, her car is a convertable and in every previous episode, it's not a convertable.
