As many people know, I'm a sucker for teen dramas, and The O.C. was no exception. It was a fun show to watch, with a mix of quirky characters and dark characters, and multiple love triangles that are a must-have in any drama series.

The first season is by far my favorite. The story lines were fresh and creative and each episode had several humorous moments that made it my #1 guilty pleasure. And in addition to an original plot, season 1 was a trendsetter in several ways, from clothing to the idyllic lifestyle that the characters led in Orange County.

After the first season, the following seasons fell short. Season 2 seemed like the same-old, same-old story lines and over-the-top drama. Season 3 improved, in parts, but focused pretty much entirely on Marissa and her inability to commit or basically do anything. And sadly, the final season was terrible. After the loss of Marissa, the show spiraled downhill quickly. The season had barely any focus on Seth, Summer or the Cohens and focused all of its attention on Ryan's and Julie's recovery after Marissa's death.

However, the final episode was one of the best episodes in the series. The fast-forwarding to years in the future gave the show the closure it deserved after four seasons. All in all, I loved this series despite all the bumps and hiccups along the way. I fell in love with the characters and planned my week around tuning in to see what drama would ensue this week. And despite some rough moments story-wise, the show is definitely worth a watch.
