  Episode Summary
Someone leaves a nasty mess on the carpet in Michael's office, which shakes his illusion of being loved by the staff. To try to re-gain his popularity and seem like a regular guy, he takes back his old desk among the sales team (where Jim sits) and initiates a sales contest to rally the troops. Jim is displaced from his seat and has to sit in the back next to chatty Kelly, and away from Pam.

  Episode Quotes
Pam: Roy and I just got back from the Poconos. I get ten vacation days a year, and I try to hold off taking them for as long as possible. And this year I got to... the third week in January.

Michael: Last week I would have given a kidney to anyone in this office. I would have reached right into my stomach and pulled it out for them. But now, no. I hope they ask, so they can hear me say, 'No. I only give my organs to my real friends, go get yourself a monkey kidney.'

Pam: (On Jim's voicemail) Sudoku. Moderate. 18 minutes. Suck on that, Halpert!

Michael: I am the victim of a hate crime. Stanley knows what I'm talking about.
Stanley: That is not what a hate crime is.
Michael: Well I hated it.

  Episode Goofs
In the old photo of Michael, he has a mullet. It is unlikely a conservative company such as Dunder Mifflin would allow a sales employee to have such long hair.

  Cultural References
Michael: I'm a big fan of Joe Rogan. Anything he does.

Joe Rogan is the host of Fear Factor, but was also host to the revamped version of The Man Show when creators Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla left in 2003.

Michael: I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Michael is using the catchphrase of the character Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons.

  Episode References
Visual: Todd Packer flashes his butt at Jim

This is footage taken from the episode "Sexual Harassment."

Kelly: You just asked a girl out on the PHONE!
Jim: Yep.

Jim has just asked out Brenda, the corporate representative who attended the staff celebration in the episode, "Booze Cruise."
