The "Fundle Bundle" television show for children that is shown in the episode isn't real. The stage sets and videos were created just for this episode.

This is a modified lyric from Janet Jackson's hit song "Nasty," which features the lyric, "It's Janet... Miss Jackson if you're nasty."

Michael: I am like Eddie Murphy in Raw, and they're trying to make me like Eddie Murphy in Daddy Daycare.

In Michael's interview, he makes several references to comedian and actor Eddie Murphy.

Edward R. Meow, the name of the cat puppet, is based on CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow.

Pam: I am actually looking forward to “Take Your Daughter to Work” day. I am not great with kids, but I want to get better. Because I’m getting married. So I put out a bunch of extra candy on my desk so the kids will come talk to me. Like the witch in Hansel and Gretel.
