This was a special one-hour episode.

When Creed is singing karaoke near the end of the episode, he is singing a song called "Spinning & Reeling," a song that the real-life Creed Bratton wrote and released.

Skeptical about allowing his "Your Body is a Wonderland" to be used in the episode, John Mayer agreed when B.J. Novak explained the scene in which it would be used. He asked for one thing in return... a custom Dundie award, which he was given.

Kelly: Hey! A margarita-karaoke-Christmas party! That sounds like fun.
Angela: No. That is not a party. There is only one party and it's hosted by the party planning committee, and it starts at three o'clock.
Kevin: Then why are there two flyers?
Karen: Oh, I understand that this is confusing for everyone, let me explain. There's a party that starts at three...
Kevin: Right.
Karen: And then there's a way more fun party that starts at 2:45.
Pam: Right, and if you're interested in the way more fun party, all the info can be found here, on our more brightly-colored flyer.

Michael: Bros before hos. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They have got your back, after your ho rips your heart out for no good reason. And you were nothing but great to your ho. And you told her she was the only ho for you. And that she was better than all the other hos in the world. And then... suddenly she's not your ho no mo'.

Jim: It's a bold move to Photoshop yourself into a picture with your girlfriend and her kids on a ski trip with their real father. But then again, Michael is a bold guy. Is bold the right word?

Karen: Does anyone ever stand up to Angela?
Pam: I think one of her cats did once. She came in with scratches all over her face.

Kevin: I hear Angela’s party will have double-fudge brownies... (pauses) It will also have Angela.

In reality, the closest Benihana to Scranton is nearly 50 miles away in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

Creed was already at the office when Dwight brought in the dead goose, yet we see him come into work again and take a toy from the box WHILE Dwight is seated at his desk. This is obviously a continuity error that slipped through the cracks.

Pam's screen changes when Michael first enters and asks Pam where the toy drive box is.

Dwight: And circle gets the square.
Jim: Nice!

This is a reference to The New Hollywood Squares, and the line that host John Davidson would say frequently.

Michael: Are you going to tell me that Stevie Wonder doesn’t love his wife just because he’s not sure what she looks like?

Michael is referring to Stevie Wonder, the famous (and blind) singer/songwriter.
