The Powerpuff Girls

The Powerpuff Girls

The Powerpuff Girls is an animated series, created by Craig McCracken, and airing on Cartoon Network.

It follows the action-filled adventures of young Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. They were created by Professor Utonium with the use of sugar, spice, everything nice, and an accidental dose of Chemical X. With their ultra super powers, they fight crime and the forces of evil that occur in the city of Townsville.

The show was inspired by Craig's 1992 mini-cartoon titled, The Whoopass Girls. Then two pilot episodes titled, Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins and Crime 101 aired in 1995 and 1996, part of World Premiere Toons. In 2002, a feature length movie was released, which was a prequel to the show.
