Cinderella:
The fairy tale of Cinderella, the girl who escapes life with her wicked step-mother and step-sisters by going to the Royal Ball and falling in love with the handsom prince is referenced twice in this episode.
The first is when Chunky K enters the Riches Mansion and exclaims to Dahlia "It's like Cinderella!" comparing how Dahlia and her family magically became well-to-do.
The second reference is towards the end of the episode, where Dahlia notes "It's always 11:59 here," making it aware to Chunky K how this fantasy life that they are living can end at any moment, just like Cinderella's dress and pumpkin carriage would disappear precisely at midnight. |
