The Secret Mediterranean with Trevor McDonald sees Trevor learning more about the different countries that make up the Mediterranean. He finds out more about their individual cultures and traditions and looks beyond the resorts to learn more about the secret Mediterranean.

Trevor travels to Egypt where he sees the waves at Cleopatra's sunken palace in Alexandria. He then makes his way to Cyprus, where he is allowed rare access to the buffer zone set up in 1974 and discovers a world frozen in time. He finishes his adventure in Malta where he visits some mysterious underground caves.
