According to Vic, only 5 weeks have pased in the show's timeline.
The Mexico scenes took two days to film with a "splinter crew." Most of the shots were done in real time in only two takes a piece, with the kidnapping scene at one of the busiest intersections of Tijuana.
(Returning from Mexico)
U.S. Customs Officer: Do you have anything to declair?
Vic: Only that it's good to be back in the states.
Vic: There's 20 pharmacies on every block! Wh-- go and get a bottle of ruffies!
Shane: What, the date rape drug?
Vic: Don't pretend you don't know what they look like!
Vic: I need that money!
Shane: Yeah... well, we all do.
Vic: No, I need it now to get back my kids!
Shane: What are you talking about?
Vic: They're gone, Shane! Corrine took them. They disappeared!
Shane lost his badge in Tijuana. Yet when Vic tells him to give up his key, he has a badge around his belt. Apparently he was able to find a fake one the moment he got back across the border.
Look close in the first scene. You can see the first guy on fire is wearing flame suit and helmet. His head is a little bigger than normal.
When Kellis introduces herself to Dutch, he's bent over his desk doing work. The next shot shows him leaning back in his chair.
