Claudette: Home come you didn't report what you saw to us immediately?
Witness: I went home to change first, put some makeup on.
Witness: I saw all the cameras. I need the tape. I been out here for six months with nothing to show for it. You can't land a gig without a tape.
Claudette: You're an actress?
Witness: You have any idea how tough it is?
Aceveda: Aren't you worried that these killers now know you can identify them?
Witness: They don't know my name.
Aceveda: It's on the news, right?
Witness: But they won't know where I live.
Claudette: Are you in the phone book?
(the witness looks around nervously)
Witness: Y'all are gonna protect me, right?
Vic: Oh, that's cold.
Detective Waylon Burke: Not as cold as your gonna be. I'm gonna crank up the A.C. in the clubhouse so your sac shrinks.
(Waylon walks away)
Vic: (under his breath) I'll shrink your sac.
Shane: (shaking hands with Tavon) You comin' her and apologizin', I get that. Just as long as you know you're place, we'll be all right.
Tavon: My place, huh? What, like the back of the bus?
Shane: What, you think you're driving the bus?
Tavon: Damn it, Shane, you know what? He - He doesn't want to hurt your little feelings, but Vic has plans for me.
Shane: He's my best friend. He's been my best friend for seven years. You really think he's gonna push me aside for some darkie?
Dutch: I was trying something new. Trying a, you know, curveball to my fastball.
Claudette: Don't tell me you played "bad cop."
Dutch: Well you weren't up there to stop me.
Claudette: I know you could handle this.
Dutch: Ninety percent of the time, yes. Ten percent, there's a connection. We- it's like you-
Claudette: Please, don't say, I complete you. (Ducth stands stunned.) Go up there and give it one more shot.
It would have been virtually impossible for Tavon to have been thrown from his van at the speed he was traveling--head through the windshield, yes--completely ejected, no.
