Comic Book Guy has created his own superhero, called Everyman, who can take the powers of every superhero in any comic book he touches and use them on his own. Homer is given the role, which was not his intention by visiting the store, but he is interested and agrees to do it. To whip him into shape, the studio hires Lyle McCarthy and once in a really long time, Homer actually becomes thin. But when McCarthy has to leave, Homer's life falls apart again.
Couch Gag: The Simpsons are at an underground train station where a train pulls in and opens its doors, revealing the living room, complete with couch. The Simpsons get in and sigh as the door closes and the train pulls off.
Lyle McCarthy: I'm going to teach you healthy alternatives to eating. We don't have much time, so we'll do it to a montage to the song, "Eye of the Tiger."
Homer: Aww, that song is a little on the nose. Can we do it to David Bowie's "Heroes?"
Lyle McCarthy: Eh, it's your montage.
Studio Executive: Homer, we have a problem.
Homer: Fine, I'll give back the Oscars i stole from the lobby. Do you want back the golden globe?
Studio Lady: Noo, noo.
Comic Book Guy: You are acceptable!
Homer: Great, would you like to see me naked?
Studio Executive: Oh, there's no nudity in this movie.
Homer: What movie?
