When Homer, Bart, and Lisa eat a ton of candy, the three begin having various nightmares:
Lisa's nightmare (The Monkey's Paw): The Simpsons visit Morocco and find a monkey's paw that makes all their wishes come true – with dire consequences.
Bart's nightmare (The Bart Zone): The town of Springfield must think happy thoughts or suffer the powers of Bart's twisted imagination.
Homer's nightmare (If I Only Had a Brain): Mr. Burns kills Homer (who's now working as a grave-digger) so he can transplant his brain into a robot's to create a super-efficient worker.

Smithers: Wake up, Homer! (Homer awakens)
Smithers: You're fired.
Homer: For what?
Smithers: For sleeping on the job.
Homer: How'd you know I was sleeping?
Smithers: We've been watching you on the surveillance camera.
Homer: Camera? (Spots the camera) D'oh!

Bart: Dad's missing? Get outta here!
Marge: He's been gone for two days!

After Maggie makes her wish, the family is all of a sudden beside the window.
| When the last wish is granted by Homer, when the index finger moves, you can see the refrigerator off to the right of the hand. Homer was standing with his right arm facing the fridge.
| Maggie gets her new pacifier and puts it in her mouth. She has her normal pacifier for the rest of this scene.

Walt Disney
During the credits, there are gravestones of famous people, including one for Walt Disney with ice and snow on it. This is a reference to the urban legend that Walt Disney had himself frozen when he died so that he could be re-animated in the future.

Jasper being turned into a dog is a parody of a similar occurrence in the 1956 fim Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
