Krusty Gets Kancelled - Recap

Bart, Lisa, and Homer are watching a game show, when a tidal wave destroys the set. Right after it was done, The word "Gabbo" flashes out on the screen, and the Simpsons try to find out what that word meant. After many long days of waiting, they find out that Gabbo is a dummy, with a new show at the same time as Krusty's. Gabbo's ratings skyrocket compared to Krusty's, and Krusty's show moves downhill until he's flat broke while trying to find a new job and betting on a losing horse. Bart and Lisa decide to help him get back on his feet with his show after finding him dropping his pants for food. While in his home, Bart and Lisa find pictures on him and other celebrities he's been with, which include Johnny Carson, Hugh Hefner, Luke Perry, Bette Midler, and Elizabeth Taylor. They get an idea of a comeback special. They use Krusty's address book to track the celebrities down, and all but Taylor agree to do the show. In the comeback special, we hear Hugh Hefner play music on goblets of water, Luke Perry getting shot out of a cannon, Johnny Carson lifting an automobile, the Red Hot Chili Peppers playing their music, and Bette Midler singing a duet with Krusty. After the special, they all go to Moe's to celebrate, and Bart gives a toast to Krusty, the greatest entertainer on Earth (except maybe for Johnny Carson).
