Episode Quotes
Mr. Burns: Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whoever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya. (Smithers whispers to him) And by that, I mean, it's time for Worker of the Week.

Kent Brockman: The spacecraft has apparently been taken over – "conquered" if you will – by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive earth men or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain. There is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted TV personality, I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

Ant #1: Protect the queen!
Ant #2: Which one's the queen?
Ant #1: I'm the queen.
Ant #2: No you're not.

Cultural References
While riding on a trainer devise for NASA, Homer's face becomes shaped like Popeye, and quotes his famous line "That's all I can stands and I can't stands no more."

One of the NASA training tests was a battle between Barney and Homer, which was taken from Star Trek's Amok Time, in which friends Spock and Kirk must battle to the death.
